Huge thank you to all who visited our participating ‘Soup Kitchen Thursday’ cafes during July. An incredible $6,500 was raised for the ‪Feed Geelong Appeal!

Over four ‘Souper’ Thursdays during July, ten participating cafes took up the task to assist our region’s emergency food relief system with passion, generously donated yummy soup every week. Our participating cafes were bear and bean, Box office Cafe, Buster’s Bar & Grill, Cocco Cafe, Cravings Cafe, dal Cafe, Green Mumma, King of the Castle Cafe, Pakington Cottage and 63 degrees.

Coupled with the incredible generosity of La Madre Bakery for donating bread and of course all who bought soup during the month, this year the Feed Geelong Soup Kitchen Thursdays were truly better than ever!

As all the soup and bread was donated, 100% of all soup sales will go directly to supporting our region’s emergency food relief system, in turn supporting the thousands of men, women and children in the Geelong community are struggling to put three healthy meals on the table each day.

Feed Geelong is an initiative of the Give Where You Live Foundation that provides grants and support to assist our community’s emergency food relief system, ensuring that food supply and access to fresh and nutritious food is provided to those who need it most.

We look forward to sharing the difference your donations will make this coming October.

In the meantime, please keep up to date by visiting the News page or by following Feed Geelong on Facebook and Instagram.
